Can someone fluent in English/Spanish translate this line for my son's valentine card he made for his "crush"?

I think it's so cute. She's a new girl in his class from Puerto Rico, and he wants to impress her. He made a card with a heart and a puppy on the front. Inside he wants to say:

"My heart is like a stubborn puppy. I keep calling, but it won't come back to me."Can someone fluent in English/Spanish translate this line for my son's valentine card he made for his "crush"?
Mi corazon es como un cachorro necio. Lo sigo llamando pero no regresara a mi (regresara is more for future, but if you mean present then use 'regresa')
"My heart is like a stubborn puppy. I keep calling, but it won't come back to me."

mi corazon es un terco perrito, lo llamo y lo llamo pero no regresa a mi
