You asked for the most EFFECTIVE way to translate English to Spanish, which I assume means you don't want a crummy translation. Good. That means you can instantly rule out all online free translating programs. I have yet to find one that is any good. The problem is that they are not human; they have never "learned" and "spoken" either language. An EFFECTIVE translation comes from a speaker of the language, preferably a native speaker of the language you are translating TO. One way to accomplish this on the web is to post your translation here on yahoo, although you'll get a lot of cut-and-pasted babelfish, freetranslation, etc. type translations to sort through. Another BETTER resource is www.wordreference.com , although the guidelines there request that you attempt a translation yourself, rather than just going and asking for one. You may email me through yahoo with what you need translated if you'd like.

Good luck!
as easy as pie..go to google.com sorry yahoo..next to the search box u will see language tools..there u can translate almost any language and its free also !!!
I have to second Mitch on that one - people keep answering questions in language with answers from Web translators. Don't - They're next to worthless.

I speak French, English and German - I've never, ever, ever, ever seen a Web translator do a decent job from any of these languages into one of the other two. Don't waste your time with them, and NEVER present them to someone else assuming it's correct - especially if your job or grade depends on it.
